Long Ride Specialist Week
Camps run every week from 6th March to 15th May and this year we also have a specialist Long Ride week
The great thing about triathlon training is that just as you conquer one aspect, there’s a hole heap of new challenges to get your teeth in to! At Tri Camp, we know that many of you may be looking to move into half iron man events, may be a serious contender at the European or World Championships or may just be looking for a week in the saddle. If so, this specialist training camp is for you.
Our Long ride weeks runs from 13th - 20th March and 27th March - 3rd April and includes:
70.3 route – we are on the door step of the Mallorca 70.3 route so if you’re planning on taking part in May, then there is no better place to become familiar with the route and get some serious miles in your legs
Coast to coast ride – this is a new ride for Tri Camp and involves us taking you out to the West coast in the morning, then you cycle back to the training base on the East coast by the end of the day. This is a fantastic ride, you will take in some breathtaking views and you will enjoy your home made dinner at the end of it!
Sa Calobra – a great technical 10k hairpin ride. It’s pretty famous in Mallorca and once you reach the bottom, the only way out is back up the 7% climb, how quickly can you do it?
Long brick sessions – we think it’s important to run off the bike so after some of our rides, we’ll grab our trainers and take you on some of our favourite runs through the woods and across the beach to test those legs.
Videoed swim analysis – watching yourself back on video to improve your stroke is invaluable, coaches Nick and Heather will talk you through how to make those minor adjustments that will help your technique in the pool
Open water swimming – not many of us get the chance to practice open water swimming so we take advantage of being by the Med and jump in as often as we can
As well as this, we’ll gladly offer you advice on nutrition for training and racing, how to protect your body from injury and talk through your training programme when you get home.
