Tri Camp Race Team
Our Tri Camp Race Team have had an amazing season in 2012, some of their highlights are below but don’t forget to click through to see their full race results and little more about who they are and what they’re each working toward in 2013. We think you’ll agree that we’re pretty lucky to have such a fab team so watch out for the orange Tri Camp kit at a podium near you next year!
Nick Dunn - founder and owner of Tri Camp and Head Coach, Nick won the gold in the 2009 age group World Championships, silver in the 2010 Europeans and gold in the 2011 Europeans. 2012 has been an injury plagued season but some solid winter base training will see a return in 2013 no doubt!
Heather Jackson - our very own Tri Camp coach who came 3rd in the 2011 elite Super Series. She fast out the water so keep an eye on Channel 4 coverage of the series and you're likely to spot her!
Andy Tarry – a local legend to the midlands and ex Pro. Tarry seems to win every race he enters and 2012 saw him as the 40-44 age group National Sprint Champion, 40-44 age group National Standard Champion among a handful of other impressive wins.
Matt Ellis – raced in the Super Series for the second time in 2012. Crowned the age group National Sprint Champion and won 1st overall at the Viking Middle Distance. Despite a frustrating season with injury, we know Matt will be back for more in 2013!
Rob Brundish – Great season for Rob winning the age group British Middle distance championships, 1st in age group IMUK 70.3 and 2nd overall at the Swashbuckler Middle Distance Tri to name just a few – watch out for more good stuff from Rob in 2013
Kat Berry – really coming into her own, Kat was 2nd in her age group at European Championships as well as 2nd in her age group at the English Championships. Kat was the overall winner at Essex Tri and set the course record – nice one Kat!
Hannah Shooter – won gold at both World and European age group level and is stepping up next season to race in the pro circuit.
Josh Cardwell – a great Super Series athlete who was the British University and College Sport (BUCS) Olympic Distance Champion, 20th in the World University Championships in Taiwan and 3rd in the Pollenca 5km whilst coaching with Tri Camp.
Tom Sturdy - an ex Loughborough uni triathlete who is focusing on off road and middle distance races in 2012
Chris Prior - excellent runner just coming into his first triathlon season in 2012, he's quick off the bike so keep an eye out for him
Rob Quantrell – new to the team but a prolific racer, Rob has already won 1st overall at the Essex tri, 1st in age group at Rother tri and 1st overall at the Bedford open water swim series. Rob is certainly setting expectations and we can’t wait to see what he achieves next year.
